Yogamatters Turns 30: A Bespoke Candle Collaboration

There's a particular kind of honour in being asked to help someone else mark a milestone.

When Yogamatters came to us to help celebrate thirty years in business, we didn't want to make something that simply carried their name. We wanted to make something that felt like thirty years, considered, warm, and made with the same care they've put into their own community since the beginning.

A collaboration, from start to finish

We were asked to create two new, bespoke fragrances, pieces that could sit alongside three decades of yoga, wellbeing, craftsmanship and community, and hold their own. Nothing off the shelf. Nothing that could have been made for anyone else.

So we got to work the way we always do: by hand, in small batches, using pure essential oils rather than synthetic fragrance. The result is a collection of scented tea lights, hand-blended right here in our Stratford-upon-Avon workshop.

Hand-blended, not mass-produced

Every tea light in the collection was poured and blended by hand, nothing synthetic, nothing rushed. It's slower than the alternative, and that's the point. A thirty-year anniversary isn't something you fast-track, and neither is a fragrance worth marking it with.

Thirty years of yoga, wellbeing and community

What struck us most, working on this collaboration, was how much of Yogamatters' story is about relationships, the people who've shown up on their mats, the teachers, the community that's grown up around them over three decades. We wanted the tea lights to reflect that: beautiful pieces that speak to the relationships and traditions that have shaped thirty incredible years.

It's been a genuine pleasure from start to finish. Some collaborations just are.
