Sunflower oil - produced in the UK. Rich in linoleic acid, an essential fatty acid required for healthy skin. Nourishes and softens skin, is easily absorbed, makes the cream 'light' and enhances absorption of other ingredients.
Olive oil - produced in Spain, it is naturally high in vitamins (such as vitamin E, A and betacarotene) and other constituents (such as polyphenols and squalane) which have antioxidant, anti-inflammatory and moisturising properties. This makes Olive oil ideal for drier/sensitive or mature skin and also skin that is dry or sore after shaving. It is a fatty oil that is deeply conditioning and nourishing and protects skin from the elements. Ideal for male skin.
Shea butter - produced sustainably by a women's cooperative in Ghana, so supporting the local families and economy. It is a rich, nourishing butter that supports the growth of healthy skin cells. It is soothing and has excellent moisture-retaining properties, making the skin refreshed and very soft and supple.
Natural Vitamin E - A potent antioxidant to promote healthy skin growth and keep lines at bay. The Vitamin E used is natural and extracted from non GM crops.
Pure essential oils of Frankincense, Cedarwood and Petitgrain. Chosen because they tone, condition and balance the skin.
Emulsifiers - Needed to 'hold' oil and water together as a cream and stabilise it. Have skin moisturising properties and improve product feel on the skin. All are dervived from plants, either coconut or rapeseed.
Preservative - Has to be included, otherwise the product would go mouldy in days. The system used in this cream is safely and long established in cosmetic products.
